Pool Removal in the Treasure Valley
In-ground and above-ground pools demolished, backfilled, and compacted.
An unused pool is a maintenance bill, a liability, and a chunk of your backyard you can't use. Iron Crest Earthworks removes in-ground and above-ground pools across the Treasure Valley — concrete and gunite, vinyl-liner, and fiberglass — then backfills and compacts so you get your yard back.
We offer both partial and full removal. Partial removal is faster and more affordable; full removal gives you ground you can build on later. We'll walk you through which makes sense for your property and your plans.

Our process
How pool removal works
- 01
Assess the pool & access
We check the pool type, size, and backyard access, talk through partial vs. full removal, and quote it free.
- 02
Drain & disconnect
The pool is drained properly and any utilities and equipment are disconnected.
- 03
Demolish & remove
We break up the shell, remove the debris, and haul it off.
- 04
Backfill & compact
The void is filled with engineered material and compacted in lifts so the ground is stable and won't sink.
In the Treasure Valley
Local ground, handled right
Backyard access is the biggest variable on Treasure Valley pool removals — many Boise and Meridian yards are fenced and tight, so we plan equipment access and debris routing carefully. Proper compaction matters here too: a backfilled pool that wasn't compacted right will settle, and we build ours to stay level.
Pool Removal FAQs
What's the difference between partial and full removal?
Partial removal breaks up and removes the top of the shell, then fills the rest — faster and cheaper. Full removal takes out the entire shell so the ground can be built on later. We'll help you choose.
Can you remove a pool in a fenced backyard?
Yes. Tight access is common in the valley; we plan equipment routing and, if needed, work around or temporarily remove fencing.
Will the filled area sink over time?
Not when it's done right. We backfill with engineered material and compact in lifts so the area stays stable and level.
Do you remove above-ground pools too?
Yes — above-ground pools are quicker, and we remove the pool, haul it off, and clean up the area.
